"Daily Dose Of REAL"

WE ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, WHEN WE CANNOT CATAGORIZE EVERYBODY WANTS "NORMAL"; BECAUSE IT'S EASIER OR POPULAR, BUT "NORMAL" IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. SOME PEOPLE'S PATH TO NORMAL IS LONGER, BUMPIER, ROUGHER THAN OTHERS. WE ARE THE STRONG ONES. THE ONES GIVEN THE TASK OF TELLING THE STORY, FOR WITHOUT US THERE IS NO "UNIQUE". SO PROUDLY CHECK THE OTHER BOX¿

Connect with Senses People have three basic methods of perceiving the world around them:

Visual (see the world)

Auditory (hear the world)

Kinethetic (feel the world).

Nowadays It Proves That Independence Of Your Music/Brand And/Or Company/Label Provides An Outlet To More Freedom And In Return More $$$ In Return. The DIY Model Of Course Is A Much Harder Process @t The End Of The Day It Builds Character.

The "Traditional" Music Distribution Deal ...
The standard music distribution deal is based on what used to be the only distribution model in the music business.

The old model went something like this...

You find a record company which finances manufactures, distributes, promotes and handles publicity.

You, as the artist or creator earn royalties after the label recovers the costs.

The label owns the copyright and the masters.

So, in the above scenario your distribution comes as part and package of the record deal you sign with the label.

You can see why the record deal WAS the Holy Grail for musicians and bands.

Record labels were the gatekeepers to the distribution companies who were the gatekeepers to the retailers.

You had to therefore accept the fact that in order to get your music CD distributed in stores, you needed a record deal.

This is no longer the case because the Internet flips the old world of music distribution on it's head.

So you now have 360 deals, traditional deals, license deals, profit sharing deals, manufacturing deals and the self-distribution model.

Confused? I suggest you spend some time and absorb this article in which David Byrne explains the above deals in detail.

You'll notice five deals and one model, because self-distribution is not a deal.

Deals involve you handing over various rights in exchange for a range of services which include distribution of your music.

Self-distribution is the only model where you retain full rights over your music and other activities.

You'll find it hard to get a music distribution deal unless you already have some kind of track record of success or can clearly demonstrate your commitment to promotion.

So, forget about the music distribution deal at first, you can always sign one later when you have a better position to negotiate good terms. Think for now simply about how you will connect with your fans.

You can use various music distribution companies to handle your online and offline distribution, you can sell music from your web site and at shows, you can directly approach local stores and retailers.

Do what you can yourself and outsource the rest. You don't need a deal. Get started.

All the best, Marius van Dyk

The GodFather Of Hip-Hop

GIL SCOTT-HERON

April 1 1949 - May 27 2011

It was around the middle seventies when I first heard this brazen, young black man's voice. He was angry! We were angry! I was angry! Angry over the fact that it was a few years ago that they had just taken from us our black shining Prince. He was mad. We were mad. I was mad! Mad over the fact that our struggle for freedom had come to a screeching halt. He was loud! Loud and determined to be heard. And I heard him. I heard him loud and clear. I heard him when he said "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". I heard him when he said "No Knock On My Brothers' Head". I heard him when he was saying that the spirit of Brother Malcolm will flourish in him as it has in me.

Gil possesses the gifted ability to put into words the things that resided within me. He possessed the courage to stand up and say what was wrong with this country, with this society. He was loud. He was uncompromising. He was convicted. He was convicted in his beliefs about "our" nations capitol. He was convicted in his beliefs with our use of drugs and alcohol. He was convicted in his beliefs that the struggle to be free will not be easy. I, too believe that the struggle to be free is not easy, but we must keep struggling if we want to be free.

Better Known For His Placements In Kanye West's "Late Registration LP" For The Song "MY WAY HOME" FT. COMMON And Most Recently Added As The Last Record on "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" On The Song "WHO WILL SURVIVE IN AMERICA"...... I Give You...........

Gil Scott-Heron (born April 1, 1949) is an American poet, musician, and author known primarily for his late 1970s and early 1980s work as a spoken word performer and his collaborative soul works with musician Brian Jackson. His collaborative efforts with Jackson featured a musical fusion of jazz, blues and soul music, as well as lyrical content concerning social and political issues of the time, delivered in both rapping and melismatic vocal styles by Scott-Heron. The music of these albums, most notably Pieces of a Man and Winter in America in the early 1970s, influenced and helped engender later African-American music genres such as hip hop and neo soul. Scott-Heron's recording work is often associated with black militant activism and has received much critical acclaim for one of his most well-known compositions "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". His poetic style has been influential upon every generation of hip hop since his popularity began.[1]

Homeless man w/golden radio voice in Columbus, OH (Updated-2)

OH MY HEAVENS!!!!!!!!!!! I Found This Amazing Clip Of A Homeless man By The Name Of Ted Williams. In This Clip He Displays A "GOLDEN RADIO VOICE". I Mean This Guy Could Do Radio Station Voice Overs, Network Voice Overs, Movie Voice Overs, Etc. His Vocal Chords Are Enhanced With Great Sound. We Tend To Look @ The Homeless As "Throw-Aways", But In Fact They Are Nothing Of That Catagory. Alot Of Homeless People Had And/Or Still Have great "GOD" Givin Talents Amongst Them. He Went To School For His Talent, But Like The Harsh Realities Of Life, Was Taken Away By Drugs/Liquid Crack. He's been Sober For Two Years Now Which Is Awesome!!!!!!! He Explains That "Radio Is Defined Theatre Of The Mind". He Gives Me So Much Inspiration To Move Forward In Life No Matter What Your Circumstances May Be Like...... I'm Preying For His Success. Like Rob Schneider Frequently Blabbered Out In The Movie The WaterBoy I Co-sign That "YOU CAN DO IT"!!!!!!!!
